CSSF-IOSCO joint Seminar/Workshop on AML/CFT supervision for the Securities Sector

On 21 and 22 October 2019, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (the “CSSF”) and the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (the “IOSCO”) jointly hosted in Luxembourg a two-days seminar/workshop on AML/CFT supervision for the Securities Sector in which participated 50 representatives and speakers from 37 ordinary or associate members of IOSCO.

One year after the publishing of the FATF RBA Guidance on the securities sector, the objectives of this event were to discuss the key components and challenges of a Risk Based Supervision and discuss best practices in order to promote supervisory convergence.

The participants had the opportunity to exchange on these topics with representatives of IOSCO, EUROPOL and of the FATF.
