The EBA consults on draft Guidelines on the role, tasks and responsibilities of AML/CFT compliance officers
The CSSF would like to raise the attention of the professionals of the financial sector under its AML/CFT supervisory remit, to the public consultation launched on 2 August 2021 by the European Banking Authority (EBA) on the draft document specifying new Guidelines on the role, tasks and responsibilities of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance officers (EBA/CP/2021/31).
The Guidelines also include provisions on the wider AML/CFT governance set-up, including at group level.

The EBA will hold a virtual public hearing on the draft Guidelines on 28 September 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 Paris time.
