Warning regarding fraudulent activities by persons misusing the name of the European Investment Bank (EIB)

The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) warns the public of unknown persons who contact without solicitation possible investors and present themselves as employees of the “Banque européenne d’investissement”. In doing so, they send emails with the address format Firstname.surname@bei-epargne.com, misuse the name and logo of the EIB and pretend to be established at “2-6 Rue Albert Wehrer, L-2719 Luxembourg”.

The CSSF would like to specify that the EIB established in Luxembourg is not related in any way to the facts referred to in this warning.
