Warning concerning a fraud scheme misusing the name of the investment firm Baumann & Partners S.A. and the identity of the specialised investment fund Baumann & Partners – FIS

The CSSF warns the public of the website www.baumann-and-partners.com/ and of unknown persons who contact, without solicitation, potential investors by presenting themselves under the name « Baumann & Partners » and offer investment services, in particular a so-called « Livret Metauxplus » investment contract and a savings account called « Hydroplus ». In doing so, they send emails with the address formats Firstname.Surname@baumann-and-partners.com and First.name@baumann-and-partners.net and misuse the name of the investment firm Baumann & Partners S.A., incorporated under Luxembourg law, and the identity of the Luxembourg specialised investment fund Baumann & Partners – FIS.

The CSSF would like to specify that neither the investment firm Baumann & Partners S.A., duly authorised in Luxembourg and subject to the supervision of the CSSF, nor the specialised investment fund Baumann & Partners (FIS), duly authorised in Luxembourg and subject to the Law of 13 February 2007 relating to specialised investment funds, is related to the facts referred to in this warning.
