Crypto-assets on the rise but remaining very risky

ESMA cautions investors against being caught up in the hype surrounding the sudden and significant increase in the value of certain crypto-assets, advising them to carefully consider their financial needs and objectives before making any decisions. ESMA highlights the forthcoming Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), which will introduce a new era of supervision for crypto-assets and related services. Nonetheless, while MiCA will strengthen investor protection, it will not eliminate all risks for investors.
