The EU’s digital finance package and its sustainable finance strategy – Natasha Deloge (Annual Report 2021)

The financial sector is preparing for major changes. It is on the eve of the gradual entry into force of two major blocks of regulations: one resulting from the 2020 Digital Finance Package and the other from the 2018 Action Plan and the European Commission’s 2021 Sustainable Finance Strategy. Natasha Deloge, Head of the CSSF’s Innovation Hub, focuses in this context on three digital finance initiatives: the regulation on Crypto-Asset Markets (MiCA), the regulation on Digital Operational Resilience (DORA) and the regulation on a pilot regime for DLT-based market infrastructures.
