Transparency exercise

Summary

    The yearly transparency exercise provides the EU citizens with data on the EU banking system. The exercise is conducted by the European Banking Authority (EBA) and is exclusively based on supervisory reporting data – covering capital positions, financial assets, risk exposure amounts, sovereign exposures and asset quality.

    2019 EU-wide Transparency exercise

    On 29 November 2019, the EBA published the results of the 2019 EU-wide Transparency Exercise.

    Out of a sample consisting of 131 European banks, only 6 credit institutions for which Luxembourg is the highest level of consolidation, were selected by the EBA:

    • Banque Internationale à Luxembourg S.A.
    • Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat, Luxembourg (BCEE)
    • J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A.
    • Precision Capital S.A.
    • RBC Investor Services Bank S.A.
    • State Street Bank Luxembourg S.C.A.

    2018 EU-wide Transparency exercise

    On 14 December 2018, the EBA published the results of the 2018 EU-wide Transparency Exercise.

    Out of a sample consisting of 130 European banks, only 5 credit institutions for which Luxembourg is the highest level of consolidation, were selected by EBA:

    • Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat, Luxembourg (BCEE)
    • J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A.
    • Precision Capital S.A.
    • RBC Investor Services Bank S.A.
    • State Street Bank Luxembourg S.A.

    2017 EU-wide Transparency exercise

    On 24 November 2017, the EBA published the results of the 2017 EU-wide Transparency Exercise.

    Out of a sample consisting of 132 European banks, only 5 credit institutions for which Luxembourg is the highest level of consolidation, were selected by the EBA:

    • J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A.
    • Precision Capital S.A.
    • RBC Investor Services Bank S.A.
